Body

It takes many parts to make a whole body. God created our bodies in such a way that even the parts that seem the least important or hidden are valuable. Consider the spleen or colon and what each part does for the body.
The Corinthian church was divided by envy, factionalism and sinful behavior. But one of its main problems was the belief that certain members of the church were not very important, that these members could be ignored or replaced.
Paul pictures the Church as a body made of many parts, yet functioning as a unit. It is based on varieties of skills and gifts and on mutual interdependence. Even the “weaker” parts of the body are important and deserve respect.
Paul was not an impressive speaker (2 Corinthians 10.10,11). He seems to have had a disability or a recurring illness, but that didn’t stop him (2 Corinthians 12.7–10; Galatians 4.13,14). Sometimes people with disabilities are barred from participation, set aside, or hidden away, but God says everyone can play a part in the body of Christ.
How can you use the gifts God gave you? What gifts do you see in other people? What opportunities do they need to experience to make the most of their gifts?
Do you know people with disabilities in your church or in your community? Talk to them. Find out about their lives. How can you help them? And, also important, how can they help you?

People

To mistreat people is to forget this crucial fact: they are made in the image of God.
"Then God said, 'Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creature that move along the ground ' So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God He created them; male and female He created them." (Genesis 1:26-27) . This affects not only who we are, but how we behave.
These words in Genesis help us understand that each of us—every man, woman, and child—bears God’s stamp. As we understand and live this out, our lives reflect the One who created us. Instead of oppressing others, we empower them; instead of building fences, we get involved in the lives of others and work toward their good. We stand up for justice, speak out for the powerless, and love the unloved. Why? Because we’re taking after our Father in heaven.

"Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends" (John 15:13 NIV)
Obviously this means more than simply dying psychically for them. If it meant only that, there would be very few of us who could or would ever fulfill this, mainly because we don't have much of an opportunity to do so.    When you go our of your way to meet a friend's need, when you are willing to spend time with them; you are giving yourself up for him or her, you are laying down your life, a part of it at least, for that person.

Purity Night

Okay so I just got back from my youth group's purity night! It's were we girls have a sleep over together and we focus on purity. This time our topic was purity of heart, mind, and body. I totally left my bible! I was going to stay the night butttt I couldn't so I got back at 1am! Wohoo!!! It was an awesome night and I learned a lot.
What does is mean to give pieces of your heart to someone? You are giving pieces of your heart when you give them your love, respect, emotions, time, personal information, etc. When you are in a relationship with someone you give those things to them. If you were to ever be with a different person you can't give your whole heart to them because you already gave it to that other person.  God says, "The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it? I the Lord search the heart and examine the mind, to reward each person according to their conduct, according to what their deeds deserve." (Jeremiah 17:9-10 NIV) Do not follow your heart, God says it's evil. Follow Jesus!
You need to keep building a relationship with God. We (the followers of Jesus) are the bride of Christ. If you were going to get married you would want to know your groom. So how you get to know God is by reading His Word and praying. Praying is just another word for talking. Talk to God and He replies though His Word. ^_^

They started the bible study with these verses:
"But we ought always to thank God for you, brothers and sisters loved by the Lord, because God chose you as first fruits to be saved through the sanctifying work of the Spirit and through belief in the truth. He called you to this through our gospel, that you might share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. So then, brothers and sisters, stand firm and hold fast to the teachings we passed on to you, whether by word of mouth or by letter. May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope, encourage your heart and strengthen you in every good deed and word."
 (2 Thessalonians 2:13-17 NIV)

Well those are my thoughts and notes and I would like to know yours too!
