Is God big enough to tell you how to dress?
1 Timothy 2:8-10
8 Therefore I want the men everywhere to pray, lifting up holy hands without anger or disputing. 9 I also want the women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety, adorning themselves, not with elaborate hairstyles or gold or pearls or expensive clothes, 10 but with good deeds, appropriate for women who profess to worship God."
(My side note: I couldn't find a verse about how men should dress. I guess it's the same both ways.)
Big enough to tell you how to cut your hair?
1 Corinthians 11:14-15
"14 Does not the very nature of things teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a disgrace to him, 15 but that if a woman has long hair, it is her glory? For long hair is given to her as a covering."
Does God tell you what kind of speech you should have?
Ephesians 4:29
"29 Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen."
Matthew 12:36-37
"36 But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the day of judgment for every empty word they have spoken. 37 For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned."
Does God tell you what to watch on T.V.?
David said in Psalm 101:3
"3 I will not look with approval on anything that is vile. I hate what faithless people do; I will have no part in it."
(My side note: We should all think like that ^_^)
Is God big enough to tell you what kind of music to listen to?!?
Ephesians 5:19-20
"19 speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, 20 always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ."
(My side note: Christians are supposed to be different from the world)
